Methodology

At Nine Points Management and Research we use an adaptive trading approach that seeks to make money in rising as well as falling markets. We blend long-term trend following with short-term momentum breakout analysis. We are seeking to make money from markets as they “come to life”. We seek investment opportunities in all global markets and marketplaces not limited to stocks, bonds, currencies, commodities, metals, as well as foreign markets.

We are market agnostic and do not care whether a market goes up or down. It is our goal to be adaptive and profit from either.

We use moving average analysis to help us determine whether a market be in an uptrend or downtrend and try and position our capital to benefit from its direction.

While at any moment in time we may have “big picture” views about the market or the global economy, we hope that these views do not interfere with the actual price performance being witnessed. We would like a markets performance to match our bullish or bearish views but ultimately, -we want what the market wants.
